  • We love video games. We also love music.

We guarantee that our audio will have that extra special touch because our audio is created by gamers… who are also musicians! Or rather, musicians who are also gamers. We aren’t composers looking for extra cash or musicians looking for an early break. We don’t do this “on the side.” DVGmusic is in this because we love creating a captivating environment that will make you player laugh, cry, and sit at the edge of their seat, all through creative audio solutions.

We know the patience, dedication, and hard work that goes into every game and we strive to put that same work ethic into every audio clip in record time. We are versatile and eager to take on a project of any genre, style, or medium. But don't take our word for it, take a look at our Testimonials! View our Portfolio! Now let us know about your awesome new project! We love a challenge. Let's make a game.

A word of warning: the music of Reachin' Pichin is as cheerily addictive as that of Katamari Damacy. You may find yourself breaking into "ba da das" and squealing "Reachin' Pichin!" at inopportune moments. Aesthetically, this game is brilliant all around, with the soundtrack perfectly matching the colorful game world.

  • Audio is an essential part of any multimedia project!

You already know that since you are here, so we won’t waste your time telling you how the amygdala, the part of the brain that controls emotion, can be activated by hearing creative sounds or how audio is a huge part of establishing a recognizable brand.

Instead, let’s get to the point and talk about what specifically DVGmusic can do for you! If there is something you’d like done that isn’t listed here, contact us!

Click the links on the left to find out more about what DVGmusic can do for you!

We aren’t just mindless music making machines!

We know the industry. We know what works and what doesn’t.

One part of ‘giving back’ that we like to do is offering free audio consultation services. Let us know your budget and as much about your project as you can and we will direct you towards the best audio solution!

Creating unique and captivating environments is our specialty!

This is where our pride lies. We have a vast library of instruments and tools, along with our combined experience in virtually every musical style that we can use to the fullest to get the best experience for your project. We can make you think wild, illustrious, and innovative thoughts with our music...or just make “the booty go smack.”

    We do SFX, too!

We love sound. Who doesn’t love the wackiest and most unique roar or a friendly robot bleep? Trust me, we know how much of a hassle assembling an army of sound effects can be. Matching volumes, getting the right bitrate, messing with those tricky reverbs... just let the pros handle it!

Not only will the sound fit the music score and attitude of your game, we will inject personality into it so your characters jump out of the screen!

    Music for the budget-impaired!

Not everything demands (or has the funding for) the custom touch. In cases like that, we’d like to direct you towards our ever growing non-exclusives! For now, out non-exclusive licensed music can be heard through in the music player if you scroll all the way to the right.

“Man, I really wish I could use this song in my game!”

Already got a perfect song in mind but you can’t use it because of licensing issues? Fancy yourself and expert in the audio realm and want to pick out how you want each track to sound exactly? No problem!

We are experts in music cloning. We’ll take the sonic and compositional qualities that make the song you have picked out tick and apply it to a new composition.

  • Team - David Carney - Daniel Davis

    David Carney

A native to the indie flash gaming scene, David knew from a young age he wanted to be involved in the gaming industry. When he was 10 years old, he got a copy of Game Maker and started programming games to play with his brother. During those early years David bounced around the teenybopper scene of aspiring game makers, programming and starting to flex his pixel art muscles. By chance, he ended up doing music on a team for the 72hGDC contest at the ripe age of 15. The resulting music was pretty terrible (though the game itself was pretty neat and got 3rd place) but it was obvious from that day forward that music was going to be his permanent home!

Fast forward to 2008. A few bands and many isolated nights making weird noises with his computer in the basement later, equipped with formal training in Music Technology, David sought out to create atmosphere and catchy melodies to compliment the games he was playing during class for the past 8 years. A few projects later, the success and massive response to his work in The Company of Myself (scoring Indie Game of the Year in 2009) brought about the little thought in the back of his head that he could actually make a living doing this and has been since then! Armed with the Helm of Versatility, the Gauntlets of Nu-Skool, and the Cloak of Creativity, David is ready to bring life to your project!

    Daniel Davis

Born in Bogota, Colombia and then raised in the depths of eastern Pennsylvania suburban glory, Daniel quickly grew to be your average parent’s family nightmare. An obsession with all things video games and shredding guitars solidified his pursuit towards nerd-dom and a shunning away from normal social activity. A self-proclaimed multi-instrumentalist, Daniel’s early composing life started in elementary school where he would record sonic experiments on a portable cassette tape recorder and would even “score” his family’s home videos by playing other pre-made audio tapes next to the recording video camcorder.

Daniel now finds his muse in the realm of chiptune music by performing under the name “an0va,” and can now be found tweaking Nintendo GameBoys and programming tracker software into musical bliss. When not providing the “unce” with retro video gaming hardware, Daniel can also be found studying to finish up his M.S. degree in Psychological Science...perhaps as a means to analyze and understand the insanity within himself.
